July 14; Monday Potter Park Zoo: Embark on a wild summer adventure with a field trip to Potter Park Zoo in Lansing! Spanning 20 acres within an 80-acre park, the zoo is home to over 350 animals, including Amur tigers, red pandas, snow leopards, and black rhinos. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 30
July 21; Monday, Ebersole Center Embark on an unforgettable summer field trip to the Ebersole Environmental Education Center in Wayland, Michigan—a 238-acre haven of forests, wetlands, and meadows designed to immerse students in the wonders of the natural world. Operated by the Lansing School District, Ebersole offers a variety of hands-on, minds-on programs that blend environmental science, history, and outdoor adventure. Fishing, crafts, reptiles, slingshots and hiking are a few of the fun activities planned for this day. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: July 7
July 28; Monday, Saugatuck Dune Rides & Saugatuck Center for the Arts Embark on an unforgettable summer field trip to Saugatuck, Michigan, where adventure and creativity come together for an enriching experience. Begin the day with the exhilarating Saugatuck Dune Rides, a 40-minute journey across the scenic sand dunes. This thrilling ride offers not only excitement but also educational insights into the area's unique ecology and the fascinating history of the lost town of Singapore. After the dune adventure, immerse students in the vibrant world of art at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts. This dynamic venue hosts a variety of programs that engage young minds through visual arts, theater, and interactive exhibits, fostering creativity and cultural appreciation.
